(Interview, Leave No Trace Awareness Training & Backpacking/Camping Assessment)

Belk Scout Camp

Participants arrive at: 8:00 am
(Class A Uniform with Class B  T-shirt
and prepared to backpack, see below)
Participants depart at: 4:30 pm

Unit Adult Leaders meeting: 8:00 am - 9:00 am

Youth leaders should come prepared to backpack (see Basic Backpacking Trip (Equipment List)), camp, and cook as they will backpack to a remote location, pitch their tents and cook lunch on their backpacking stoves. The lunch items will be provided. On Saturday May 7th, 2016 at 8:00 am sharp, the youth leaders  will meet at the compound parking lot of Belk Scout Camp and will backpack to their site. The meeting will be over at 4:30 pm and they can be picked up back at the parking lot. Please make sure that each youth leader brings a completed COPY of their “New Medical Form”, and their Signed “Top Gun Code of Conduct” form.  The youth leaders also should be prepared to take notes as we will be teaching Leave No Trace Awareness, review backpacking equipment, and backpacking safety.   At the end of this Pre-course meeting all youth leader participants will earn their Leave No Trace Awareness certificate from BSA, and be certified with the Leave No Trace COE organization.
